Hart Matthews, DVH, CPH

Hart Matthews is a certified professional homœopath, practicing classical homœopathy in Durham, North Carolina. Hart works most frequently with allergic sensitivities, skin problems, headaches, gastric problems, poor sleep and behavioral disturbances, as well as athletic injuries. More than half of Hart's clients are kids.

Hart is a graduate of the Caduceus Institute of Classical Homeopathy with a professional homœopathic certification (CPH) and a doctorate in vitalistic healing (DVH). Hart did his clinical training with several homœopaths in North Carolina and California and started working with clients in 2006. He opened his private practice in the spring of 2008 and continues his post-graduate training with world-renowned practitioners, including Drs. Will Taylor, Farokh Master, Joe Kellerstein and Douglas Falkner; Jeremy Sherr, Karen Allen and Kim Elia, among others.

Hart does writing, webinar moderating and project consulting for WholeHealthNow, has organized student clinical training for Durham homœopath, Rosemary Hyde, PhD, CCH, and teaches a course in advanced case analysis at the Caduceus Institute.

IMPORTANT: Homœopaths are not licensed in the state of North Carolina. Hart does not hold a medical degree and is not a licensed medical practitioner. As an unlicensed practitioner, Hart is not allowed to diagnose or treat specific medical conditions. Homœopathic treatment strengthens the body and gives it more flexibility in dealing with disease or injury. Hart often works alongside other practitioners, both alternative and conventional, to improve his clients' health.

Hart's story

When I came to homeopathy for help with debilitating allergies, I had lived for decades on antihistamines and decongestants and anti-inflammatories and antibiotics. Homœopathy showed me how to stop fighting my own body and live a healthier life.

After homœopathic treatment also helped my wife and my oldest child with severe asthma, I decided to make a change of careers. Little did I know then that the study of homœopathy would bring a purpose into my life that I hadn't experienced since childhood. It is so rewarding now to watch clients regain their energy, confidence and joy in life.

Most of my clients have suffered from some form of the pervasive malaise that we lump into the category of "depression." I love watching them blossom as their homœopathic remedy reveals old habits that keep them ill at ease and prevent them living to their full potential. I particularly enjoy working with parents and kids together.

The Dynamis office is open Tuesday through Friday by appointment. On Mondays, Hart takes appointments at Restoring Balance women's center in Chapel Hill. If you wish to schedule an appointment, please call 919.286.7626.
